Gentlemen,

You forwarded to us, with your letter of 28th.

May last, a copy of a letter from the Colonial Office,

covering a copy of a despatch and of its enclosure from

the Governor of Hong Kong, with reference to the construc-

tion of a proposed Harbour at Mongkoktsui, for the shelter

of junks, sanpans and other small craft during typhoons.

In the letter from the Colonial Office, it is

requested that the papers relative to this matter, should

be forwarded to us in order that we might submit a Report

thereon.
